The current tariff situation has raised production costs on all of our machined products -- both domestic and imported.
We've designed a Rail Rack that is manufactured domestically using less-costly sheet metal processes in order to maintain a reasonable price point. These units are admittedly neither as aesthetically pleasing nor as rugged as the machined Modular Rail Racks, but they get the job done.
Because the sidewalls are necessarily thinner (3/16" vs. 3/8"), please DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the mounting screws! You will find that plenty of clamping force is provided by "contact plus 1 full turn."
Not recommended for use with Mitchell Plate Assembly -- use Rail Clamps or Modular Rail Rack for heavier, offset loads.
